Magical Butter DecarBox for cooking herbs. When preparing herbal creams, the herb can be cooked in advance for best results. The decarboxylation process converts the constituents of the herbs, such as many amino acids, into a form that is more easily utilized by the body. Decarboxylation is used, for example, in traditional herbal medicine.
The package includes a cooking box made of high-quality silicone, as well as a digital thermometer to easily monitor the temperature during the process.
Always check beforehand that the herb or plant you are using is safe to decarboxylate! For example, plants containing benzoic acid (such as lingonberries) are not suitable for decarboxylation, as benzoic acid can be converted into benzene, a carcinogenic substance, when decarboxylated.
